Sunday Afternoon Musings

Another beautiful Sunday here in Wyoming. Much warmer today (13 right now). Got up early this morning for no particular reason, just wolke up at 6 and couldn't go back to sleep. Had to be over to the church at 7:30 to help clear the walks. Then back home to shower and help get the 5 kids ready for church at 9. We were early today, it was nice to be in our seats 5 minutes early. Mallory (18mos) was quite the pill todayshe would not hold still and Nicole had to take her out of sacrament meeting several times.

The next few days will be very busy, Tonight is choir practice at 4:30 then up to the in-laws for Sunday dinner. Tomorrow, right after work, Nicole and I are headed to Salt Lake, we have to exchange a mirror for Abby's (9) bedroom set, and meet with my brother to sell him our old van, then at 7:30 we get to watch Aida at the Hale Center Theatre with Nicoles Parents.
Tuesday, The YM/YW are going ice skating at the bear river ice ponds. I need to pick up the skates at aroung 5:30 then be back to the church by 6. Wednesday, we leave for Hawaii. I have never been, Nicole was there as a freshman in high school.

We are going with Alex and Karen, our best friends who now live in Riverbank California. We are staying at the Haleiwa Secret Garden Paradise I am very excited. I will be sure to post soe pictures from Hawaii. We will be there for 9 nights, we will be spending 2 nights in California. My sister Jen will be staying with the kids while we are gone. This is a very much needed overdue vacation.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog, as you may have guessed by the name, I live in Wyoming and I am a dad. Actually I am a dad of 5 with one on the way. My wife and I got married in 95, had daughters in 96 and 98. Had a son in 2000, and more daughters in 2002 and 2004. We are currently expecting number six around the end of July.

Ok if you don't think we are insane yet, we are also licensed foster parents and have had numerous kids in our house since last summer, mostly very short term.

We love kids!!!

As far as me, I am a computer specialist, I work for a multi billion dollar corporation in New jersey, I have an office there which I have visited for a grand total of about 15 days since I moved away in 2003. I do web development for an intranet site, I create automation tools to assist testers with their jobs. Everything I do, I can do from home.

Why Wyoming, because I can :-) I admit, it's not for everyone. We live in Evanston, which is about 45 minutes from Park City, Utah. The weather is on the cool side. The current temp is 0, I checked the thermometer before bed last night and it was -13. Seriously, I like it here, a lot. It is a great place to raise a family.
